About Qi and Food

When I select foods and suggest meals for various programs, I do not consider their physical properties, such as vitamins and minerals. Instead, I look to the consciousness of the food. What is its energetic essence? Does it match the frequency of the season? Will it resonate with your body’s current needs? Eating this way turns food into medicine and supports the body’s natural need for balance.

Consider these questions:

  • How long did the food grow in Nature?
  • What are the environmental factors it was exposed to?
  • When was it harvested?

Answers determine the energetic information contained in the food or what is known as essence. Essence directly impacts the body at a Qi, or energetic, level. Food then becomes your herb for daily healing.

To go deeper, combine Qigong practice with healthy eating to strengthen your body’s metabolic function.
