Fear is in the future. So you imagine something bad is going to happen. If the future is probabilities, then why did you choose fear and not happiness? Fear is your imagination that something is going to happen. You have to ask yourself, “How can you fight with fear?” You cannot fight with fear. The only way is to change how you think. Ask yourself, “why are bad things going to happen to me and not good things?”
Why do you believe bad things and not good things? Bottom line—you don’t have faith. You don’t have faith in yourself! That means, I’m a bad guy, so bad things are going to happen to me. If you believe that you’re a good guy, then good things are going to happen to you. Good things, good guys—bad shouldn’t happen! Therefore, you need to have faith in yourself. You don’t need faith in anyone else.
I am a good person. I am the Child of God. God loves his own child. Think of it in a positive way. Then you can say, yes—I will believe that I am good then fear will automatically go away. Instead of fighting with fear, you create a good belief. Then fear will automatically go away without a fight.
A lot of people try to fight—be strong, be tough. The stronger you are, the stronger your fear. It’s the same fear—it’s created by you! So the stronger you are, you will create stronger fear. Why do you do that? You don’t need to be strong; you are already strong.
If you are strong like a mountain, then the fear is a bigger mountain.
If you are strong like water, no matter how big the mountain, the water will [slide down].
Think of it this way—have faith! Then it will be much easier to let go of your fear.
